HIATUS REQUEST PAGE

Hiatuses are allowed at the Warehouse so that players may address their real-life obligations first. We all want to play regularly, but life happens; we know this and we understand. Remember, there are a few rules: 1. Hiatuses cannot be for more than ONE MONTH at a time. (The Mods include unofficial/unannounced hiatuses, where the player disappears for weeks at a time without a word, in this rule.) 2. Hiatuses shorter than two weeks cannot be used in lieu of completing minimum activity. 3. All players are expected to respond to activity check each month, even if you took a hiatus for the previous month. Only in cases of real-life emergencies will a player be exempt from the activity check, but passes are only allowed with Mod approval. If you're experiencing a RL emergency, know that we are not unsympathetic. Let us know about your situation ASAP so as to avoid accidental removal. A player may not miss two checks in a row, nor too many over time. 4. If it so happens that your hiatus falls during the activity check and you do not have a pass from the Mods, you will need to make arrangements for providing proof of activity for each of your characters to the Mods prior to going on hiatus. Hiatuses are to allow for flexibility with RL obligations, as RL always trumps RP. We all understand life happens and want to work with your needs. However, other players should not be expected to put their play on extended, indefinite hold waiting for canonmates and line partners to come back. We are here to play, after all. Hiatuses are not to be abused. If a player is taking too many hiatuses, too long of hiatuses, or is using them to get out of the monthly activity requirements, they will be spoken to. If they do not improve, they will be removed. To request an official hiatus, use the following form and post it in a comment to this page. Please make sure to designate if this is a hiatus or a slowatus, and make sure to list all your characters.
